    hat and shit and twats
the weekend before last i paid a visit to cheltenham at long last..
it was most lovely seeing everybody again...
the party was most fun-ly mental crazyness..
and i even made a new friend..

but the general election sure is the biggest pile of TOSS/WANK i've experienced in a LONG time...
nobody has any views that are even slightly original/matter..
yet people still think there's a choice between the different parties...

    LORDY LORDY LORDY..

about the only thing i can hope for is that Blair doesn't get back in again....

    march hare; double dare
last tuesday-thursday i did some working as a landscape gardener again...
although this time i got to break up a load of concrete with a hydraulic drill, which was a fair bit more hanus....
i was most truly tired, and my back rather hurt by the end of it..
and the many vibrations sure loosened up a shit-load of toxins from my head...
on thursday i had the start of a tickly cough, friday both my nose and throat were streaming mucus down to my stomach/out and now i'm feeling quite bunged up and mucus-y still...
luckily tessa gave me a treatment to help it all down at least...
my back is better now, although one half of my solar plexus has popped out slightly...
    which is annoying...

i might have to spend some of my wages on a semi-decent pair of headphones i think...

    bi-phase, nigh-chaise
i am most enjoying the fun of my fuzz factory..
but today i did discover a pedal that's more functionaly pre-disposed to the way of working i'd pre-determined in my head for obtaining the final product of my next project...
but 'balls to it' as they say...

yesterday the new bathroom suite sure was delivered...
there was a bath and large cardboard box on a mini-crate in my kitchen, but the bath's now in the hall....

my fuzz factory went one better than arriving on tuesday and got here on monday...
    most lovely it is....
i can make many distorted and broken style noises...
and the theremin-style oscillation is indeed most fan-dabby-doozy like...

i just want more pedals now, so i can stomp on them....

i even got a pair of converse trainers a while ago, they were fun and full of orange and beige suede-ness...
plus they give me the ability to make my stomping on stomp pedals oh so much even cooler...
    wow...

    lucky lucky me..
if only i was a member of a metal/emo band..

    *hah*

    tasty fuzzy green-ness
    mmmm-mmmmm..
i did indeed order me a fuzz factory...
it should be sent out sometime today, and on tuesday i should be able to make some lovely, and not so lovely, harmonically tasty distorted style action..

    as mr. zachary vex says:
    it's "a factory of fuzz"

    pork = vegetable..?
    crazy crazyness...
i have still to find myself an actual job, but have been working for the past two days doing landscape gardening things..
and ok it most surely was..

tomorrow i may be crazy again and order myself a lovely distortion (fuzz) pedal...
i was thinking i'd get a double muff, but then decided it better for me to obtain a boutique pedal seeing as that's what i've been wanting anyway...
    a vexter series fuzz factory..
which means i'm too cheap too pay for a hand-painted one/would rather like a status LED and power supply abilites included...
    hehe...
it is hand silk-screened at least..
and many more fantabulous sounds it should be able to make with its 3 extra knobs...
i have a feeling it should hopefully be 'perfect' for what i'm trying to achieve for my 'next project'...
    muwuhahski..

despite the fact i'm not going to get the finished cover work for approximately 3-5 months i really should get on and record 'welcome to my world' sometime sooner or later..

ethics are a luxury for people who can afford new pants.
    mmmm...
    this morning i recieved post..
the 2 new mixes are both fun and good....

but i shall save accessing the real world as a special treat for later i think..
first i shall probably have to clean out some stables again...

    8:30 pm
today was quite tiring both mentally and physically..
but after over 20 years of living with an aubergine bathroom suite my mother actually ordered a brand new white one....crazy crazy...
    i went to truro today...
    and looked around many places....
when i got back i fed a fair amount of hay to the bullocks...
at the moment we've got a lil' dexter bull who's ever so sweet with his little wide face and tiny ring through his nose...

all shops are rubbish and either have none or gay books about magic..
i think i shall have to order some of the intranet sometime...

i could 'kind of' do with a distortion pedal for my new project..but if i was to purchase such a device i'd much rather have one designed for delay...
so my pseudo-noisy amp shall do i think....
or some good old-fashioned overdrive as long as i can get the levels high enough...

i did at least finally get round to ordering myself a copy of 'about it' today..
which means that in 2-5 days i shall be able to listen to the lovely different mix and access the real world....
and hence download re-mixes, read some reviews and see the birthday cards for David...
    joy of joy-nesses...

january is the colour of hop scotch
despite still not having finished my LP yesterday i started writing another new song..
and despite my current 'guitar hatred' i've decided to negate it somewhat by using such things to make some music again...
fuck the bastards, they can make shitty bland music with such things, i can hopefully make some beautiful, nasty noises with them..
this time i may even go crazy and have some choruses almost in a traditional stylee....
    haha...

this afternoon i've also been looking at some R Stevens inspired stuff..
this has made me want to do some drawing again...
i might not be so good at such things, but i do have my own style at least..
    like a demented school kid..
    great...
maybe i should become a cartoonist....

    power words for better living
my new year's eve and the previous day was rather lovely..
but also rather different from the several previous ones...

hiding the elephant is a truly smashing book..
the first one i've read in ages, and most certainly the first non-fiction book in even longer...
i think i shall have to go into town soon, to both do some posting and see if i can find more nice books to buy....
although i may put some of the money i got for christmas towards a ribbon contoller..
after i purchase the carfax album anyway...

after originally doubting i would have any resolutions for the new year, i've decided to have some at least vaguely serious ones..
    these shall be:
    1. be better.
    2. experiment.
hopefully i can carry these out to my fullest and ace-est-ness...
if nothing else, they do at least complement each other quite nicely..

    how to disappear an elephant
after going into town on monday to purchase myself a pair of drumsticks as a christmas present from an aunt & uncle, today i went into town and purchased myself some gifts from my gran...
i got two rather smashing hardback books..
one of which is a mr. men & little miss treasury..
and the other is a book about MAGIC...
cannae wait to be able to read them..but luckily i needn't wait long now..

still haven't quite finished my christmas gifts yet, shall have to get on and finish the ones that need finishing for tomorrow for tomorrow...
    hallelujah..
the rest i can complete on christmas and boxing day, just in case i don't feel festive enough....
but i have recieved my first proper gift..
    the cannabible 2, from joe...
many pretty pictures, including a couple of sweet tooth this time..
    huzzah....

    hatski-rahski
yesterday i went to my gran's for tea..
sadly there were no poppy seed cakes...
but it was most ace anyway, and there were nut cakes..
    i prefer the chocolate-y cannonballs/christmas puds anyway....

on tuesday i got to watch the re-make of dawn of the dead..
and it turned out to be a fair bit better than i thought it might be..
i forgot to listen to the soundtrack much, if my memory serves it featured an evolver extensively..
but it was most funny and rather silly...
luckily it was only inspired by the original..so included other goofy things such as zombie babies and chainsaws...
    mmmm....
    bonus..

today i found a most silly pair of flourescent pink part-lycra skinny trousers, and a reasonably suave cowboy hat...
which may well be quite perfect for going out in all the rain we've been getting lately..
    the hat anyway..

i appear to have misplaced a wallet containing all of the cd's i want to listen to...
i may love david devant, but do feel like listening to something else for a change..

need to get a-move-on and finish the gifts i've been making for christmas-ness...
    yes..

    DON SPIRIT SPECS NOW
yesterday my gran came in, but rather than gardening helped to start putting up christmas decorations...
the biggest set of lights refuses to work, after they were put on the tree..
    which is rather rubbish..

joseph also came over and helped me get rid of the crappy sofa that was in the caravan..
which means i now have enough room in there for a tree of some sort..

the day before i purchased myself an ornithopter....
just elastic-powered, but rather ace and smashing none-the-less...

    payne -2 - rusk 0
    yesterday was quite amusing..
as i ended up going to mrs. hitch's house for a surprise birthday party for someone's 65th...
there was both food and drink, and quite a house full of people....

if only i lived even a bit closer to london..
i might have then been able to not miss a wonderous evening of devant on the day of fri...
    but nevermind i suppose..

i have now almost finished two presents for christmas..
and my computer's working again, so i can record a proper version of my new album *soon*...

Silhouette is a french word for "i can't draw"
*flash back to almost 2 weeks ago*
the two bands before were rather trite/boring and made me want to kill them for mine/their own good..
although one of them did have a lady drummer...

but David Devant & His Spirit Wife were full of much ace-ness...
and was also another event where i experienced a slight feeling of 'de ja vu'..
at the start i got a balloon which i managed to make into a not-quite-a-dog..

the evening before we'd drawn on normal balloons to make them into various faces/animals, which was fun..

they then proceded to play some songs, a fair few which i'd never heard before...
    including one about germaine greer..
    but all were good....
    hehe..
and as almost always the audience participation scared me somewhat, although in a rather charming way....

at the end i 'accosted' them all in the green room...
they were all ever so lovely, funny and nice..
Vessel wore a pink shirt and said interesting things, including something i don't quite remember about Robbie Williams..
the Colonel looked rather like a member of NIN with his wig on..
    Foz? was nice, and 'dad-like'
and the Professor managed great wit in the short time i spoke to him...

before i left i purchased Power words for better living, and vessel was kind enough to give me a badge and a video of "light on the surface"..
    smashing-ness...
parts of it make me think of garth marenghi's dark place, and other parts are pure MAGIC..
    superb....

if i'm a good boy, and feel like it, i think i should have a go at recording some of my LP again tomorrow....

    i love DD&HSW
i have yet to actualy record any more of my LP yet..
but have been doing some cross-stiching again...

the boys are getting most large, and prettier and are only getting 500ml twice a day now....

the weekend before last i did go to cardiff...
    and most supreme it was..
went up on the thursday and got to see/meet gethin, who is indeed welsh..
also had the treat of having him cook rabbit stew and good 'stodgy' pancakes for tea...
the vegetables were a bit undercooked but the rabbit was nice, and tasted like chicken, although had very little meat on it..

on the friday i visited cardiff museum, saw many ceramic pieces and funny religious paintings and was brought back to my childhood by their crazy taxidermy-style exhibits and the long, long natural history bit...
later on kate and her many baby friends came up..
we went to the barfly, and lucy danced with a crazy, scary dancing man...
i drank relatively large amounts of guinness...

on saturday we went to a Zushi sushi bar in the evening..
with a lil' conveyor belt and mucho raw fish/roe/etc...
after it was back to barfly, but this time to see David Devant & His Spirit Wife live, and in the flesh....
they played some 'old school' songs, i was mildly surprised to see Foz? there, and was pleasantly surprised to see that Vessel (and the Colonel) was sporting a new wig...
    they were superb..

sunday, after having already read a dude-y graphic novel about old super heroes in their future and some of a book about manga and a bit of wolf & cub, i decided to watch legend of the overfiend and legend of the demon womb...
and most fun/odd, great/funny and smashing it was..

on monday, the day of my departure, i decided it was a good idea to go into town again and buy some random crap...
i ended up spending too much time wandering around, and on my way back to Lucy's house went the wrong/round way..
so rather than the ~30 mintues it should have taken me i got supremely lost..
walked past a huge cemetary, and then came upon a series of funny little parks with a river running through them..
eventually i ended up almost back by the railway station, the opposite side of the city centre i should have been..and after about 2 hours finally got back to Lucy's the 'right way'...
    hoho...

    but eventually i got home..
    yes.

    tables and mullets
yesterday i discovered a groovy nice-ish table with draws and shit in it...
so today i bought it up from the barn to put my musical stuff on it....
and much betterer than the crappy table i had before it is...

not so positively i shan't get my computer back 'til sunday now...
so the recording of my LP shall have to be a bit more postponed like...
    but nevermind-ness....
i may have it recorded by next weekend..
or at least carry out a rough/practise version, yes...

a while ago i downloaded both some unreleased crazy more electronic songs/remixes and a short-ish live set....
and both fun they rather are...
i am loving the new songs....

and have been having more possibible ideas for my 'next' project...
    hahski...

i like the art show, the art show is funny
elgin and horatio were wicked again yesterday, and went under the fence and got in the garden...
so now they have more electric fencing up and can't get to their gate or 'jumping board' now..
    haha...

hopefully i can/shall have my new soundcard put in the other computer, and get it upgraded to XP....
then i can record all my songs at some point...
a couple are left only just uncompleted, but i can just finish them off as i go along/whatever..
some of the others shall probably need 'tweaking' any way like...

and deciding on a tracklist for 15 songs sure is easier said than done...
i think i shall have to tackle it as two halves/three thirds maybe..

i think i shall also have to go to cardiff in a couple of weekends time, even though Kate and many of her baby friends shall be there...probably taking up mucho space and being mucho noisy....
but David Devant & His Spirit Wife shall be performing..
and after having a Devantian Renaissance as of late i've most wanted to see them live...
    oh yes...

    muwuhahah...
i have ordered a new soundcard today (at last), which should hopefully arrive tomorrow...
it's not the bestest of quality, but was nice and cheap, has midi I/O which i need, and come with a good (free) software bundle..
now i need to back up all my projects and shit from the old computer....
(and complete my 2 half-finished songs)

cut my hair i did, was getting kinda bored of it being long..
plus it was starting sticking in my ears again, which does ever so annoy me...
i also had a go at recording with my new microphone last week...

most snazzy and good it is..
i can now easily record an acoustic guitar and vocals at the same time if i want...
    mucho MUCHO better sensitivity...
    mmmm....

time to feed the boys now i guess...
